NCAC Weekly Release (2-25-13) - Tennis

The spring portion of the 2012-13 NCAC tennis season continued last week, highlighted by the Kenyon men hoisting the ITA National Indoor Team Championship with victories over North Carolina Wesleyan, 8-1, Cal Lutheran, 6-3, and Emory, 5-4. The DePauw women's squad will highlight competition this week as DPU will play host to the 2013 ITA National Women's Indoor Championships, March 1-3.

NCAC Weekly Release (2-18-13) - Tennis

The spring portion of the men's and women's tennis season kicked off in full force last weekend. Oberlin jumped out of the gates strong as the men's squad took down Wabash, 5-4, and the Yeowomen recorded an 8-1 triumph over Otterbein. Tennis action continues this week, highlighted by the Kenyon men competing at the ITA Indoor Nationals in St. Peter, Minnesota.

DePauw Takes Early Lead In 2012-13 NCAC All-Sports Race

DePauw University won one outright championship and finished second in two others to take the lead in the race for the 2012-13 North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports championship.

 

NCAC Tennis Teams & Players Earn Academic Accolades From ITA

The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) was well represented on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) 2012 All-Academic Achievements lists. Eight NCAC teams were named ITA All-Academic Squads, while 37 NCAC student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinctions.

Nine NCAC Student-Athletes Named To Capital One Academic All-American At-Large Squad

Nine North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) student-athletes were named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-America Division III At-Large Team, it was announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on June 5.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-29-12) - NCAA Championships

The 2011-12 athletic season officially came to a close in the North Coast Athletic Conference last week at the NCAA Div. III Tennis Championships and the NCAA Div. III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Kenyon men's tennis squad completed its best season in school history as the national runners-up, while Wabash junior Jake Waterman (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) earned his first career national title in the 800-meter run.

11 NCAC Student-Athletes Named To Academic All-District Squad

11 NCAC student-athletes have been selected to the 2011-12 Capital One Academic All-District VII Division III At-Large First-Team, released by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on May 18th.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-21-12) - NCAA Spring Sports Championships

The 2012 NCAA Division III Championship season is drawing to a close with one NCAC team remaining alive in tournament play. The Kenyon men's tennis squad will compete in the quarterfinal round of the men's tennis championships today (May 21) against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, North Carolina. In addition, the Denison men's lacrosse team bowed out of the NCAA Tournament in the quarterfinal round with a 14-7 setback against Stevenson, while DePauw and Wooster were both eliminated from their respective double-elimination regional tournaments as part of the NCAA Div. III Baseball Championships.

NCAC Well Represented On 2012 ITA Tennis All-Region Awards List

The North Coast Athletic Conference was well represented on the 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Region Awards list. Denison, DePauw, Kenyon and Oberlin each had representation on the awards list.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-14-12) - NCAA Tennis Championships

For the fourth time in the last five seasons, Kenyon (22-4) has advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Tennis Tournament. The fourth-ranked Lords will square off against No. 5 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (29-4) in a quarterfinal match next Monday, May 21, at the Carry Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina. The DePauw University women’s tennis team was eliminated from the 2012 NCAA Division III Tournament in the third-round after dropping a 5-0 decision against Carnegie Mellon.
