2013 ALL-NCAC WOMEN'S TENNIS SQUAD ANNOUNCED; Oberlin senior Farah Leclercq (Ocala, FL/Vanguard) has been named Player of the Year and Wooster freshman Catherine Christian (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Marian) has been named Newcomer of the Year to highlight the 2012 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis selections. Marcell and Geppner also garnered first-team recognition in doubles after compiling an overall record of 11-4 at the No. 1 position. Marshall and junior Meg Crowley (Barrington, IL/Barrington) also represented DePauw on the top team in doubles with a combined record of 15-9 between the one and two positions, while Schlessman and freshman Taylor Diffley (Hampton Bays, NY/Hampton Bays) round out the list of first-team doubles performers. |







Leclercq {left}, who is 19-6 in the top singles position in dual matches this season, also made her debut as a member of the first team. Kenyon senior Amy Schlessman (Sandusky, OH/Perkins) was named to the top team for the fourth season in a row, while Denison senior Alex Marcell (Chicago, IL/Loyola Academy) makes her fourth All-NCAC appearance and second-straight first-team selection. DePauw sophomore Maggie MacPhail (Indianapolis, IN/Park Tudor) also makes her second-consecutive appearance on the first team. Denison junior Kelsey Geppner (Ann Arbor, MI/Father Gabriel Richard), a second-team selection in 2011, and DePauw sophomore Claire Marshall (Marietta, GA/George Walton), an honorable mention honoree a year ago, both make their debut on the top squad this spring.
Christian {right} earned the Newcomer of the Year distinction by vote of the league coaches after posting an overall record of 9-8 at Wooster's top singles flight.
DePauw head coach Scott Riggle {left} was named the 2013 NCAC Women's Coach of the Year by vote of the league coaches for the first time in his career after guiding the Tigers to their second-consecutive NCAC Women's Tennis Championship. Riggle, who is 231-94 in 12 years at the helm of the DePauw women's tennis program, leads the Tigers into the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament with an overall record of 17-7.
