Recent Denison University graduate Katie Navarre (Upper Arlington, OH/Upper Arlington) has been recognized by the NCAA as one of the Top 30 honorees for the 2011 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its annual All-Academic Honorees list for the 2010-11 academic year with 13 North Coast Athletic Conference student-athletes being recognized for the academic and athletic success.

More than 140 NCAA female student-athletes representing multiple sports across Divisions I, II and III have been selected as 2011 Woman of the Year nominees by their athletic conferences and by independent institutions.

Three NCAC Women's Track & Field Athletes Named Capital One Academic All-Americans

Three North Coast Athletic Conference women's track & field athletes were named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America College Division Team. Denison, Oberlin and Wooster each had a representative on one of the three college division squads.

12 NCAC Athletes Named To 2011 Capital One Track & Field/Cross Country Academic All-District Team

12 North Coast Athletic Conference track & field athletes have been named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-District team. Allegheny, Denison, Oberlin, Ohio Wesleyan, Wabash and Wooster each had at least one representative on an All-District College Division squad.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-30-11) - NCAA Track & Field Championship Recap

The North Coast Athletic Conference was represented by 16 athletes at the 2011 NCAA Track & Field Championships, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan in Delaware, Ohio. Six NCAC athletes garnered All-American honors at the three-day event.

NCAC Well-Represented in Regional Track Honors

Wabash junior Kevin McCarthy and Oberlin senior Joanna Johnson have been named the 2011 Men's and Women's Great Lakes Region Track Athletes of of the Year by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Wabash's Clyde Morgan will  receive the Great Lakes Region Men's Head Coach of the Year Award and Ohio Wesleyan's Matt Wackerly will recieve the Assistant Coach of the Year honor from the USTFCCCA Wednesday night at the awards banquet prior to the 2011 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Ohio Wesleyan will serve as host to the national meet, to be held this upcoming weekend, May 26-28, at Selby Field and George Gauthier Track.

Ohio Wesleyan set to host NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships

Ohio Wesleyan hosts the 2011 NCAA Division III Men's & Women's Track & Field Championships from Thursday through Saturday at Selby Field and George Gauthier Track. Events begin at noon each day. The North Coast Athletic Conference will be represented at the national meet by 16 individual qualifiers as well as one relay team.
