2012 ALL-NCAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE SQUAD ANNOUNCED;
ALLEGHENY'S VOYER-COLBATH, DENISON'S TSCHANTZ EARN TOP INDIVIDUAL HONORS

2012 All-NCAC Women's Lacrosse Team

Allegheny senior attack Kiah Voyer-Colbath (York, ME/York) and Denison senior defender Carly Tschantz (Omaha, NE/New Trier, IL) have been named Offensive  and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, to highlight the 2012 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse selections.

Voyer-Colbath finished the regular season and NCAC Tournament as the conference's leader in goals (60) to go along with 16 assists for an average of 4.22 points-per-game. She netted one game-winning goal for the Gators in 2012 and was named the NCAC's Player of the Week on March 12th. Voyer-Colbath is a four-time All-NCAC selection, earning second-team recognition in 2009, honorable-mention laurels in 2010 and first-team honors a year ago.

Tschantz is the leader of Denison's defensive unit that has limited its opponents to a conference-best 7.69 goals-per-game in 2012. She has also scored seven goals and dished out seven assists from the backline to go along with 43 ground balls and a team-leading 25 caused turnovers. Tschantz makes her second-consecutive first-team All-NCAC appearance.

Four other players join Tschantz and Voyer-Colbath as repeat first-team selections, including Wooster senior Madison Carey (Northfield, MN/Shattuck-St. Mary's School), Wooster junior Clare Nelson-Johnson (Wilmette, IL/Loyola Academy) Kenyon junior Leah Sack (Wynnewood, PA/Lower Merion) and Wittenberg junior Kellen Morrissey (Aurora, CO/Smoky Hill). Nelson-Johnson and Sack both earned second-team honors in 2010 as well.

Wittenberg freshman midfielder Alie Marousek (Pittsburgh, PA/Portsmouth, NH) was voted the North Coast's Newcomer of the Year. Marousek, who also garnered first-team All-NCAC honors, netted 38 goals and dished out 27 assists to average 3.82 points-per-game in her freshman campaign.

Oberlin's Jacqueline McDevitt earned Coach of the Year honors by vote of the league coaches after guiding the Yeowomen to an 11-5 record in her first season at the helm. McDevitt led the Yeowomen to their first conference victory since the 2007 season and the 11 wins are the most at Oberlin since 1998.
