2011 ALL-NCAC WOMEN'S LACROSSE SQUAD ANNOUNCED

2011 All-NCAC Women's Lacrosse Team

Allegheny senior attack Jensen Paterson (Atlanta, GA/The Lovett School) and Kenyon senior defender Brigid Donahue (Trumball, CT/St. Joseph) have been named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, to highlight the 2011 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse selections.

Paterson finished the regular season and NCAC Tournament as the conference's leader in goals (74) and assists (38) to give her a conference-best 6.22 points-per-game average. She netted two game-winning goals for the Gators in 2011 and was named the NCAC's Player of the Week on two separate occasions. Paterson is a four-time, first-team All-NCAC selection.

Donahue was the leader of a Kenyon defensive unit that limited its opponents to 9.89 goals-per-game in 2011. She also dished out one assist from the backline to go along with 25 ground balls and a team-leading 11 caused turnovers. Donahue makes her third-straight, first-team All-NCAC appearance.

Denison senior Lulu Carter (Greenwich, CT/The Milbrook School) is the only other repeat first-team selection on this year's squad as she was also named to the top team in 2010.

Wooster freshman Cassie Greenbaum (Ellicott City, MD/Garrison Forest) was voted Newcomer of the Year by the conference coaches. She scored 17 goals and averaged 1.50 points-per-game for the Fighting Scots.

Wittenberg head coach Nichole Johnson has been named the Coach of the Year after leading the Tigers to 9-6 record and the fourth seed in the 2011 NCAC Tournament. In two season's at the helm, Johnson has an overall record of 18-12 (.600).
