Denison Wins 13th NCAC All-Sports Title; Big Red Claimed 19 Top-Five Finishes in 2012-13

Denison University posted top-five finishes in 19 of 23 sports to earn the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship for the 12th time in school history. The Big Red opened the year with top-five finishes in five of the seven fall sports, and kept the momentum rolling into the winter season with five more top-five finishes, including league titles in men's swimming & diving and women's swimming & diving. DU capped off the year with a strong showing in the spring season, finishing in the top-five in nine of the 10 sports, including the outright NCAC title in men's lacrosse. The Big Red secured the 2013 All-Sports title by compiling 165.0 total points, edging out 2012 All-Sports champion DePauw (159.5) by five-and-a-half points.

Wabash senior Jake Waterman (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) won the men’s 800-meter run to highlight NCAC competitors at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Central. Waterman, who was also the 800-meter champion at the 2012 Outdoor Championships, became the first two-time national track & field champion in Wabash College history after breaking the tape in the 800 in a school record time of 1:50.30.

DePauw Maintains Lead In 2012-13 NCAC All-Sports Race

DePauw University  won one outright league championship to go along with two third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes to maintain its lead in the race for the 2012-13 North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.

 

NCAC Weekly Release (3-4-13) - 2013 NCAC Indoor T&F Championships

The Wabash College men’s squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women’s team captured the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference team titles on Saturday evening at The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Wabash, which won its third consecutive team title, accumulated 220.5 total points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (168.5), while the Ohio Wesleyan women earned its seventh-straight women’s title after earning 195 points to edge out Oberlin (168) for the team title.

Ohio Wesleyan Women; Wabash Men Selected As Favorites For 2013 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Titles

The 29th annual North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships will be held this weekend (March 1-2) at the Scot Center on the campus of The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. The Wabash men are in search of their third-straight North Coast title, while the Ohio Wesleyan women look for their fourth league crown in a row and seventh in the past eight seasons. NCAC Weekly Release (2-25-13) - Track & Field

The 2013 NCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships are set for this weekend (March 1-2) at Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Friday’s action will begin with field events at 1:30 p.m., while Saturday’s action also opens with field events at 10:30 a.m. Wabash is the defending NCAC men’s indoor champions after capturing its second straight indoor title at last year’s meet with 238 points, while Ohio Wesleyan grabbed its third straight and 11th overall NCAC women's crown last season with 192 points. NCAC Weekly Release (2-18-13) - Track & Field

Kenyon hosted a pod of NCAC squads on its campus this past weekend, while numerous NCAC teams were also in action at the Kent State Tune-Up. In the coming week, the NCAC Pentathlon and Heptathlon events will take place at Wooster on Saturday and Sunday.
