Six North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) women's golfers were named to the 2011-12 All-American Scholar Team by the National Golf Coaches Association (NGCA), it was announced on July 10, 2012.
A pair of recent Allegheny golfers made the list, including Abby Sorensen (Erie, PA/Villa Maria Academy) and Lauren Hammell (McMurray, PA/Peters Twp.), while DePauw rising junior Paige Gooch (Fort Mitchell, KY/Beechwood) also earned the distinction. Wittenberg also placed three golfers on the squad, including rising sophomores Rachel Steiner (Hamilton, OH/Lakota West), Nicole Waers (Canton, OH/Perry) and Carolyn Wong (Naperville, IL/Central).
