NCAC Weekly Release (10-30-11) - 2011 NCAC Cross Country Championships

Wabash earned its first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference men’s cross country title, while the Oberlin women captured their third-straight and fifth overall crown at the 28th annual NCAC Cross Country Championships on October 29th.

Wabash earned its first-ever North Coast Athletic Conference men’s cross country title, while the Oberlin women captured their third-straight and fifth overall crown at the 28th annual NCAC Cross Country Championships on October 29th. Both races were hosted by Wittenberg at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

NCAC Weekly Release (10-23-11) - Cross Country

The 2011 NCAC cross country championships will be held on October 29th at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio, and will be hosted by Wittenberg. The women’s race starts at 11:00 a.m., followed by the men’s race at 11:45 a.m.

Oberlin Women Along With Wabash And Allegheny Men Ranked In USTFCCCA National Cross Country Polls; Regional Polls Also Released

The Oberlin women's cross country team jumped nine spots to No. 14 on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll, while the Wabash men dropped six spots to No. 21 and the Allegheny men fell three spots to No. 35. In addition, four NCAC squads were represented on a USTFCCCA regional poll.

Wabash Men, Oberlin Women Selected To Win 2011 NCAC Cross Country Titles

For the fifth time in the past six season's, North Coast Athletic Conference coaches have predicted that Oberlin will claim the NCAC women's cross country championship through a pre-championship coaches ballot, while Wabash was tabbed the favorite on the men's side for the first time in school history.

All North Coast Athletic Conference squads but Hiram are idle until the NCAC Championships on Oct. 29, held at John Bryan State Park in Yellow Springs, Ohio. The women’s race begins at 11 a.m., followed by the men’s at 11:45. This Saturday, the Terriers will compete at the Walsh/Malone Invitational.

Wabash And Allegheny Men Along With Oberlin Women Ranked In USTFCCCA National Cross Country Poll; Regional Polls Also Released

The Wabash men's cross team dropped one spot to No. 15 on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national poll, while the Allegheny men also elevated one spot to No. 32 on the national poll. On the women's side, Oberlin fell two spots to No. 23 on the national poll. In addition, five NCAC squads were represented on a USTFCCCA regional poll.

NCAC Weekly Release (10-9-11) - Cross Country

In the coming week, Hiram and Wooster join the field for the Wooster Invitational on Wednesday. Friday, Denison and Wittenberg participate in the Wilmington Invitational. Saturday, Allegheny, DePauw, Kenyon, Oberlin, Ohio Weslyean, Wittenberg and Wabash all compete at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin, the site of the 2011 Great Lakes Regional. Wabash will also send runners to the Brooks Invitational/Pre-National meet at Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

NCAC Weekly Release (10-4-11) - Cross Country

In the coming week, all of the Ohio-based programs will take the week off, while the Indiana and Pennsylvania-based squads will see action. DePauw and Wabash will participate in the Gibson Family Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday. The same day, Allegheny heads to Center Valley, PA, for the Mideast Pre-Regional meet.
