NCAC Well Represented On 2012 ITA Tennis All-Region Awards List

2012 ITA Regional Award Winners

The North Coast Athletic Conference was well represented on the 2012 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Region Awards list. Denison, DePauw, Kenyon and Oberlin each had representation on the awards list.

On the men's side, Kenyon head coach Scott Thielke was named the Central Region Coach of the Year, while KC assistant Ross Wilson was named the 2012 Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year.

Three NCAC student-athletes were also honored with prestigious individual awards. Denison senior Tom Cawood (East Lansing, MI/East Lansing) was named the Central Region Senior Player of the Year, Kenyon junior C.J. Williams (Richmond, VA/St. Christopher's) was named the Cental Region Player to Watch and Kenyon freshman Michael Razumovsky (Baltimore, MD/Pikesville) was named the Central Region Rookie of the Year.

Oberlin women's head coach Constantine Ananiadis was named the 2012 ITA Central Region Women's Coach of the Year, while DePauw assistant Andrew Gregory was named the 2012 ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year.

DePauw senior Kelly Gebert (Wichita, KS/Kapuan Mt. Carmel Catholic) highlighted the women's individual award winners after being named the Central Region Arthur Ash Leadership & Sportsmanship Award winner, while Denison junior Alex Marcell (Chicago, IL/Loyola Academy) was named the Central Region Player to Watch and DePauw freshman Magge MacPhail (Indianapolis, IN/Park Tudor) was named the 2012 ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year.
