11 NCAC Softball Players Named To NFCA All-Central Region Squad

2012 NFCA All-Region Teams

11 North Coast Athletic Conference softball players were named to the 2012 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region Team. Allegheny, Denison, DePauw, Kenyon, Ohio Wesleyan and Wooster each had at least one representative on one of the three teams.

Six NCAC student-athletes were named to the First Team, including Allegheny freshman pitcher Caitlin Nealer (New Kensington, PA/Valley), Allegheny designated player Maureen Pallone (New Kensington, PA/Valley), DePauw catcher Amy Hallet (Phoenix, AZ/Pinnacle), DePauw shortstop Jen Kosinski (Schererville, IN/Lake Central), DePauw third baseman Holly Paris (Covington, IN/Covington) and Kenyon utility player Jamie Samuel (Malibu, CA/Malibu).

Allegheny junior outfielder Stephanie Fort (Midlothian, VA/St. Catherine's School) and Denison outfielder Hannah Price (Hudson, OH/Hudson) were second-team selections, while Ohio Wesleyan junior catcher Brooke Nethers (Newark, OH/Licking Valley), Wooster freshman outfielder Demi Hart (Shreve, OH/Triway) and DePauw designated player Haley Buchanan (Indianapolis, IN/Cathedral) were named to the third team.
