NCAC men’s tennis teams wrapped up the spring break portion of the 2013-14 schedule last week with DePauw and Oberlin competing in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The DPU Tigers (2-0, 11-4) went 4-0 in Hilton Head, before traveling to Atlanta, Georgia, over the weekend where they went 1-1 at the Emory Invitational. Action resumes across the league this week with 11 matches on the slate, led by an NCAC East bout between Allegheny (0-0, 7-4) and Kenyon (0-0, 11-6) on Thursday (4/3) and an NCAC West contest between Wabash (1-0, 8-10) and Wittenberg (0-1, 8-3) on Saturday (4/5).
North Coast men’s tennis teams continued spring break trips last week with Allegheny and Wooster competing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and Denison taking on opponents in southern California. Spring break trips will conclude in the week ahead with DePauw and Oberlin both set to compete in Hilton Head.

The Allegheny men's tennis program was named the March 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Team Sportsmanship Award recipient, announced on Mar. 12 by the ITA office. A monthly award given to one men and one women's team across all three NCAA divisions, the winners are selected by the ITA Ethics and Infractions Committee from nominations received from all ITA member institutions (NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community Colleges). This monthly award began in 2004. The honor, according to the ITA website," is awarded upon a team that has exemplified outstanding sportsmanship, character and ethical conduct in the true spirit of competition and collegiate tennis."

The spring portion of the 2013-14 NCAC Tennis schedule continued last week with numerous league teams in action, highlighted by the Denison men's team posting a 2-1 record at the Mary Washington Invitational in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Conference teams will continue early season action in the coming week, led by DePauw hosting the ITA Women's National Indoors, March 1-2.
