Denison Wins Opening Round OT Thriller; Kenyon & Ohio Wesleyan Bow Out Of NCAA Tournament

The Denison University men's lacrosse team kept its record-setting season alive on Wednesday afternoon as senior Cory Couture (Coronado, CA/Coronado) drilled the game-winning goal 51 seconds into the second overtime to propel the Big Red to a 12-11 victory over Adrian in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament. In addition, Kenyon and Ohio Wesleyan saw their seasons come to a close in the opening round of NCAA action as the Lords fell to Dickinson, 15-6, and the Battling Bishops came up just shy against Gettysburg, 7-4.
