Wabash College

Founded in 1832, Wabash College is a private liberal arts college for men located in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Its mission is to educate men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely.

Wabash’s liberal arts curriculum includes 23 majors, with strong pre-professional programs in health sciences, law and business.  Wabash, jointly with Columbia and Washington universities, offers a 3-2 engineering program, as well as a strong teacher education program.  The College draws young men from approximately 30 states and 24 countries.

Students at Wabash follow only one rule, the Gentleman’s Rule: “A Wabash man will conduct himself, at all times, as a gentleman and responsible citizen.”  Consequently, Wabash students enjoy more freedom than students at other colleges and universities across the nation.  The students’ ability to make the link between the trust the College places in them and the responsibility that goes with such freedom helps them lead wise and productive lives.

Outside the classroom, Wabash offers a wide range of activities, including 10 national fraternities, workshops, seminars, visiting artists and lecturers, films, music, theater, forensics, and intramural sports.  Wabash men are also active in community service projects ranging from on- and off-campus mentoring, tutoring and coaching, to fund-raising for local non-profit agencies.

NCAC Weekly Release (3-18-13) - Men's & Women's Golf

Several North Coast men’s and women’s golf squads have kicked off the spring portions of their schedules over the past two weeks by competing in spring break tournament’s in Arizona, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

North Coast men’s tennis teams continued spring break trips last week, while a majority of squads will be back in action up north this week with non-conference matches on the schedule every day of the week except Friday (3/22).

NCAC Weekly Release (3-18-13) - Baseball

The North Coast baseball season continued last weekend with numerous league squads participating in spring break tournaments in Florida. Last week’s results were highlighted by a pair of NCAC teams defeating Wheaton (MA), which entered the week ranked third in the nation on the D3baseball.com Top 25. Denison defeated the Lyons, 12-4, on March 14th, and Wooster knocked off Wheaton, 3-0, on March 17th.

NCAC Weekly Release (3-18-13) - Track & Field

Four North Coast schools kicked off the outdoor portion of their track & field schedules last week with spring break meets in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

NCAC Weekly Release (3-11-13) - Men's Tennis

The North Coast spring men’s tennis season continued last week with numerous squads competing at southern spring break locations, including Wittenberg which wrapped up its annual trip with a 5-1 record in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

NCAC Weekly Release (3-11-13) - Baseball

Nine of the 10 North Coast baseball squads have kicked off the 2013 campaign and have posted a 24-18 record against non-conference opponents. Numerous NCAC teams will continue non-conference action this week on spring break trips in Florida.

Wabash senior Jake Waterman (Noblesville, IN/Noblesville) won the men’s 800-meter run to highlight NCAC competitors at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by North Central. Waterman, who was also the 800-meter champion at the 2012 Outdoor Championships, became the first two-time national track & field champion in Wabash College history after breaking the tape in the 800 in a school record time of 1:50.30.

USTFCCCA Regional Awards Announced; Freet Track Athlete Of The Year, Morgan Coach Of The Year

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the organization's region athletes and coaches of the year for the 2012-13 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season on Wednesday (3/6). Ohio Wesleyan senior Ethan Freet (London, OH/London) {left} was named the Great Lakes Region Track Athlete of the Year, while Wabash head coach Clyde Morgan {right} garnered Coach of the Year laurels for the Great Lakes Region.

DePauw Maintains Lead In 2012-13 NCAC All-Sports Race

DePauw University  won one outright league championship to go along with two third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes to maintain its lead in the race for the 2012-13 North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.
