DePauw University

Founded in 1837 by the Methodist church, DePauw University is a private, selective, coeducational, residential, undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and School of Music. The University or specific degree programs are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, University Senate of the United Methodist Church, Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Indiana Professional Standards Board for the State of Indiana, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and the National Association of Schools of Music.

Forty-two majors are offered in the College of Liberal Arts, and three degree programs are offered in the School of Music. Courses and advising successfully prepare students for professional post-graduate programs in law, medicine, business, engineering, and ministry.

DePauw has 36 major buildings on 695 acres, including a 520-acre nature park featuring The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics and the new Bartlett Reflection Center, located in Greencastle, Indiana, a 45-minute drive west of Indianapolis. Historic East College, built in 1877, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-6-13) - Softball

Allegheny College (10-6, 21-18) captured its fourth North Coast Athletic Conference softball tournament championship after defeating Wittenberg (10-6, 23-13), 3-2, in game 7 of the 2013 NCAC Softball Tournament on Saturday in Greencastle, Indiana. Game 7 was needed after the Tigers earned a 7-4 victory over the Gators in game 6. In game 7, Allegheny jumped out to a 3-0 lead through four innings and held on for the one-run victory, as Caitlin Nealer (New Kensington, PA/Valley) collected her third win of the weekend.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-6-13) - Men's Golf Championship Series

The 2013 NCAC Men’s Golf Championship Series concluded on Sunday afternoon at Oakhaven Golf Club, in Delaware, Ohio, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. Wittenberg captured its fourth-straight NCAC title after totalling 1,202 strokes in the two championship series events combined. Ohio Wesleyan was second in the final team standings with 1,220 strokes, followed by Allegheny (1,233), Wooster (1,245), Kenyon (1,248), DePauw (1,249), Denison (1,258), Wabash (1,286) and Hiram (1,435), while Oberlin competed as individuals throughout the championship series. As the NCAC champions, Wittenberg earns the league’s automatic bid into the 2013 NCAA Div. III Men’s Golf Championships.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-6-13) - Women's Golf Championship Series

The 2013 NCAC Women’s Golf Championship Series concluded on Sunday afternoon at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan. DePauw captured its second-consecutive NCAC championship after totalling 1,271 strokes in two the two championship series events combined. Wittenberg was second in the combined championship standings with 1,329 strokes, followed by Allegheny (1,341), Denison (1,379), Ohio Wesleyan (1,447), Wooster (1,625) and Hiram (1,686).

NCAC Weekly Release (5-6-13) - NCAC Track & Field Championships

The Wabash College men’s squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women’s team captured the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field team titles on Saturday at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio.  Wabash picked up its third-straight NCAC men’s crown after totaling 275.50 team points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (148.50) for the team title, while Ohio Wesleyan earned its fifth-straight women’s title after earning 216 points to edge out Oberlin (209) for the women’s team title.

DePauw Women & Wittenberg Men Capture 2013 NCAC Golf Championships

The 2013 NCAC Golf Championship Series concluded on Sunday afternoon at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio, with the Wittenberg men winning their fourth-straight league crown with a 72-hole score of 1,202 (295-291-313-303), while the DePauw women captured their second-consecutive NCAC championship after concluding the event with a score of 1,271 (317-315-321-318).

Wabash Men; Ohio Wesleyan Women Capture 2013 NCAC Outdoor Titles

The Wabash College men's squad and the Ohio Wesleyan women's team captured the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field team titles on Saturday at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio. Wabash, which earned its third-straight team title, accumulated 275.5 team points to edge out Ohio Wesleyan (148.50) for the team title, while Ohio Wesleyan earned its fifth-straight women's title after earning 216 points to edge out Oberlin (209) for the team title.

Allegheny Claims Third NCAC Softball Tournament Championship

Fourth-seeded Allegheny topped second-seeded Wittenberg, 3-2, in the deciding seventh game of the 2013 NCAC softball tournament on Saturday, May 4, in Greencastle, In. The Gators, who also won tourney crowns in 2004 and 2007, earn the NCAC's automatic berth into next week's NCAA Division III Tournament.

Kenyon Captures First-Ever NCAC Women's Lacrosse Title

The Kenyon College Ladies captured their first-ever NCAC Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 14-9 victory over Wooster. With the victory the Ladies have received the league's automatic bid into the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

2013 All-NCAC Women's Tennis Team Announced

Oberlin senior Farah Leclercq (Ocala, FL/Vanguard) {left} has been named Player of the Year and Wooster freshman Catherine Christian (Bloomfield Hills, MI/Marian) {right} has been named Newcomer of the Year to highlight the 2012 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis selections. 

2013 All-NCAC Men's Tennis Team Announced

Kenyon senior Paul Burgin (Baltimore, MD/Pikesville) {left} has been named Player of the Year and Oberlin freshman Callan Louis (Cambridge, MA/The Rivers School) {right} has been selected as Newcomer of the Year to highlight the 2012 All-North Coast Athletic Conference men's tennis selections.
