DePauw University

Founded in 1837 by the Methodist church, DePauw University is a private, selective, coeducational, residential, undergraduate College of Liberal Arts and School of Music. The University or specific degree programs are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, University Senate of the United Methodist Church, Committee on Professional Training of the American Chemical Society, National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Indiana Professional Standards Board for the State of Indiana, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and the National Association of Schools of Music.

Forty-two majors are offered in the College of Liberal Arts, and three degree programs are offered in the School of Music. Courses and advising successfully prepare students for professional post-graduate programs in law, medicine, business, engineering, and ministry.

DePauw has 36 major buildings on 695 acres, including a 520-acre nature park featuring The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics and the new Bartlett Reflection Center, located in Greencastle, Indiana, a 45-minute drive west of Indianapolis. Historic East College, built in 1877, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

NCAC Weekly Release (5-13-13) - 2013 Baseball Tournament

The College of Wooster (15-3, 32-10) captured its 15th all-time North Coast Athletic Conference baseball championship with an 18-6 victory over Allegheny (11-7, 26-16) in game six of the 2013 NCAC Baseball Tournament on Friday, May 10, at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. The Fighting Scots broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning with eight runs on five hits and then added six more in the seventh and two more in the eighth to seal the 12-run victory over the Gators. With the victory, the Scots were crowned the 2013 NCAC baseball champions and earned the league’s automatic big into the NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. The Fighting Scots will open play in the Terre Haute Regional at Art Nehf Field in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. against Thomas More (29-14).

DePauw Women's Tennis Bows Out Of National Tournament Against Washington (MO)

In a battle of two evenly matched teams, the 13th-ranked DePauw Univeristy Tigers dropped a 5-4 decision to 12th-ranked Washington University in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship Third Round on Saturday. The Tigers finished the season at 19-8, while the Bears improved to 16-7 and advanced to the national quarterfinals.

Wooster Captures 15th NCAC Baseball Championship

The College of Wooster captured its 15th NCAC Baseball title all-time on Friday afternoon with an 18-6 victory over Allegheny in the championship game of the 2013 NCAC Baseball Tournament. With the victory, the Fighting Scots have earned the league's automatic bid into the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Tournament. After the game, NCAC Assistant Executive Director Russell Kramer caught up with Woster head coach Tim Pettorini.

NCAA Announces Individual Field For 2013 NCAA Tennis Championships

The NCAA Division III tennis committees have selected individuals who will compete in the singles and doubles competition of the 2013 NCAA Div. III Tennis Championships which will be held at at Stowe Stadium in Kalamazoo, Michigan, May 20-25.

Kenyon senior attack Leah Sack (Wynnewood, PA/Lower Merion) {left} and Wittenberg senior defender Katie Warner (Delaware, OH/Olentangy) {right} have been named Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, to highlight the 2013 All-North Coast Athletic Conference women's lacrosse selections.

DePauw Women's Tennis Set To Open NCAA Tournament Against Hope

DePauw University, the 2013 NCAC women's tennis champions, will represent the league in the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Tournament. The Tigers earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA championship field via the program's second-straight NCAC title. 2013 will mark the ninth-straight and 12th overall NCAA appearance for the Tigers who sport a record of 10-11 all-time in postseason action, including quarterfinal appearances in 2003 and 2006.

After winning the inaugural NCAC Tournament Championship last Saturday and the league’s automatic bid, the Ohio Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team will host Aurora College in the first round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament this Wednesday, May 8th, at Selby Stadium at 7:00 p.m.

Following NCAC cross-divisional series last weekend, the field is set for the 2013 NCAC Baseball Tournament, which will be played at VA Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio, this weekend, May 9-10. Please note, due to graduation conflicts on Saturday and Sunday, the tournament schedule has been adjusted to utilize the entire day Thursday and Friday.
