Denison Wins 13th NCAC All-Sports Title; Big Red Claimed 19 Top-Five Finishes in 2012-13

Denison University posted top-five finishes in 19 of 23 sports to earn the North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship for the 12th time in school history. The Big Red opened the year with top-five finishes in five of the seven fall sports, and kept the momentum rolling into the winter season with five more top-five finishes, including league titles in men's swimming & diving and women's swimming & diving. DU capped off the year with a strong showing in the spring season, finishing in the top-five in nine of the 10 sports, including the outright NCAC title in men's lacrosse. The Big Red secured the 2013 All-Sports title by compiling 165.0 total points, edging out 2012 All-Sports champion DePauw (159.5) by five-and-a-half points.

DePauw University  won one outright league championship to go along with two third-place finishes and two fourth-place finishes to maintain its lead in the race for the 2012-13 North Coast Athletic Conference All-Sports Championship.

NCAC Weekly Release (11-19-12) - Cross Country

NCAC cross country runners concluded the season at the 2012 NCAA Division III Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships, at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday afternoon highlighted by a ninth place finish from the Oberlin Yeowomen and a 15th place finish from Allegheny on the men’s side.

NCAC Weekly Release (11-12-12) - NCAA Cross Country Championships

The 2012 NCAA Division III Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Championships, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, will be contested at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, November 17th. Two teams from each regional automatically qualified for the national meet, while at-large berths were also awarded to 16 other teams, selected by the national committee. Aside from runners who are part of the qualifying teams, eight individuals from each gender also qualified automatically from each region.

This weekend the NCAC has multiple men's and women's teams competing on the national stage in NCAA Tournaments for their respective sports. Four NCAC Cross Country Squads Among Nation's Best On USTFCCCA Polls

The North Coast is once again well represented on the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Polls, released on October 31st. The Allegheny men, which captured their 11th NCAC title all-time last Saturday, stands at No. 19, while Wabash checks in at No. 27. On the women's poll, four-time defending NCAC champion Oberlin sits at No. 10, while Kenyon fell three spots to No. 33.

NCAC Weekly Release (10-29-11) - 2012 NCAC Cross Country Championships

Allegheny earned its 11th North Coast Athletic Conference men’s cross country title, while the Oberlin women captured their fourth-straight and sixth overall crown at the 29th annual NCAC Cross Country Championships on October 27th. Both races were hosted by The College of Wooster at L.C. Boles Golf Course on the Scots campus.
