GCAA Announces 2012 Men's Golf All-Region Performers and All-American Scholars
The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recently announced its 2012 All-Region Teams as well as the list of 2012 Scholar All-Americans. The NCAC placed three golfers on the All-Great Lakes Region squad and had one student-athlete represented on the Scholar All-American list.
Allegheny senior Matt Donahoe (McMurray, PA/Nichols) was one of just 23 student-athletes across the nation to be selected to the Div. III Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scholar All-America team. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
In addition, three NCAC student-athletes were named to the All-Great Lakes Region Team for their performances this season, including Ohio Wesleyan junior Jerry Moore (Mogadore, OH/Mogadore) and the Wittenberg duo of junior Craig Osterbrock (Wilmington, OH/Wilmington) and sophomore Jack Uecker (Akron, OH/St. Vincent-St. Mary).
